Job Description
Our client is an outdoor recreation travel startup based in the US. They are looking for a Content Manager to take full responsibility of our content planning, manage the content calendar, upload the content to our in-house platform, and manage the content writers.
Our ideal candidate is a self-driven creative marketing professional, preferably with a strong writing background.
Responsibilities:
- Weekly research of new blog topics and new location articles following the strategy provided by the Director of Marketing
- Assign content writers to the different article ideas, briefing them on what is expected of each article, and ensuring they deliver the content on time
- QA all the articles written by the content writers, making sure information is accurate and specific, tone suits the audience, and grammar is perfect.
- Manage the monthly content calendar, creating a schedule of when the articles will be published.
- Responsible for finding suitable images and uploading the content to the in house platform
- Publishing the content live based on the content calendar created
- Weekly calls with the Director of Marketing to pitch new blog topics and location articles, give updates on the status
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven work experience as a Content manager
- Project management skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and WordPress or other Content Management Software
- Understanding of web publishing requirements
- Editorial mindset with an ability to predict audience preferences
- Hands on experience with SEO
- Research experience in unfamiliar topics
- Excellent communication and writing skills in English
