Job Description
- Assist in the preparation/review of the company's tax returns (Income Tax, VAT, EWT, etc)
- Monitor deferred Tax Asset/Liability and assist in reconciliation of balances per books vs tax returns.
- Ensure all the tax payments are processed on a timely manner.
- Provide tax advice to various stakeholders within the company respect to various transactions and commercial contracts.
- Engage in projects dealing, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory processes, tax reporting and strategy.
- Assist in the preparation of position papers/protest letters and reconciliation schedules and other supporting documents in relation to BIR audits.
- Regularly monitor local tax regulation changes and assess impact to the business.
- Handle, manipulate and analyze data and information responsibly.
- Preparation of tax memos
- Performs other tax duties assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, preferably a CPA Board Passer.
- Preferably with at least one (1) to two (2) years relevant working experience in an accounting/audit firm or in a private company as a Tax Compliance Personnel
- Strong knowledge in tax reporting and financial analysis
- Thorough knowledge about tax procedures and policies
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Well-organized and detail-oriented
- Can-do attitude and strong work ethic.
