Job Description
Clear is looking for an excellent Paraplanner to join our financial planning team.
Role and Opportunity
Your will provide administrative support for Australian-based financial advisers on a portfolio of products and prepare reports and statements of advice for clients. This is a fast-paced environment – perfect for hard workers, quick learners, organised, client-focused, and people with the highest levels of attention to detail and who love reading.
Purpose
As a Paraplanner, you will:
- Prepare financial plans and statements of advice which are legally binding documents
- Be a key contributor by delivering SOAs and ROAs in a timely fashion
- Assist Financial Planners in reviewing, analysing and preparing financial plans
- Prepare and review documentation and reports for Financial Planners including maintaining and improving templates
- Input data and modelling of client strategies through Xplan or other relevant software
- Conduct research and analysis of data
- Research technical strategies and new products as required
- Ensure strict compliance with legislation and licensee standards
- Oversee the production of SOAs
- Constantly be tested and given opportunities to develop your skills
As a Paraplanner, your daily tasks may include:
- Provide day-to-day support to Australian Financial Planners
- Prepare Statements of Advice which includes modeling of Financial Advice based on client instructions and provide supporting documents or reports when necessary
- Produce scenarios/Cash Flows when requested
- Directly liaise with clients, fund managers, superannuation funds, insurance companies and internal stakeholders to execute plan strategies
- Update the financial planning tool and other relevant software based on documents provided by the client
- Invoice clients accurately in a timely manner
- Prepare and submit a weekly sales report to the client
- Liaise with senior management when necessary
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the client and/or the management
Required Attributes

- Ability to work in a busy environment while maintaining the highest attention to detail in reviewing documentation and legal correspondence

- Be well organised with the ability to multi-task and deliver results despite competing priorities
- Strong numerical and literacy skills
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to think strategically

Minimum Qualifications
Essential Experience
- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year experience in Australian Statement of Advice preparation
- At least 1-year call handling experience
- Comprehensive understanding of the financial planning process
- Awareness of Australian business culture
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Google Workspace applications (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
Advantageous (Optional)
- Experience with Financial Planning software such as XPLAN or other similar tools
- Diploma of Financial Planning (RG146) compliant
- Experience as a Financial Planning Assistant
